017 Spark Your Business Using Pinterest w/Sandy Park

Want to know a fun fact?

Back in the day, I was a food blogger. That was where I learned how to use digital media. It was a trial-by-error kind of thing, but because I have always been super curious, I was eager to discover and understand how this world worked.

Being a trailblazer is a fun trail to be on. And because of that, I was a beta tester for both Instagram and Pinterest. So much has changed since then. But one thing we know for sure is that social media (love it or hate it), it's not going anywhere.

In the beginning, as a food blogger, Pinterest was a great vehicle to build community, drive traffic to my blog and recipes, as well as be inspired by all the amazing content and information that that platform shared.

As I pivoted more into consulting and showing others how they could not only strategize, but monetize their gifts, talents, and expertise, I used Pinterest less and less.

My identity was dormant and in Q4 of 2022, I wanted to change that....

016 How To Avoid Burnout - 5 TIPS to Release The Inner Bully

Most people today work 24/7 without even realizing it.

As a creative and visionary, if you are not working 80+ hours a week, I can bet it is something very close to that. This is exactly why so many of you are experiencing burnout.

I have a client who knew she was on the brink of exhaustion and I truly do feel she got to me just in the knick of time. Her schedule is crazy, but what's worse is that she does not have a clear path to her systems and because of that she's flying by the seat of her pants.

That's no way to live.

Right now, I am forcing her to take a small step back and embrace a little pause. It's in those small moments when you can truly prioritize what's important. It's there that one finds balance.

And that's the key to avoiding burnout.

In this episode, I share 5 key tips that will help you stay on track, reach those milestones and goals, and hopefully eliminate the negative self-talk trap. It's hard to do, I know, but it can be done.

015 The Art Of Redesigning Your To-Do List

Do you have a lot of items on your to-do list?

One of the most effective ways of being productive and staying organized is by systematizing your tasks and to-do list. My friend and client, Laurey, used to have a 7-page (back and front) bible of notes until I helped her redesign it.

In today's episode, Laurey Bennett-Levy is our client spotlight. She's an artist, philanthropist, mentor, and all-around amazing human. Working together over the past 7 years, I have seen both the highs and lows of growing her artistic career.

During our conversation, Laurey shares how her life and career changed over the years and how each phase has led her to reignite her passion for creating art. But being an artist is not her only strength.

She knows how to bring people together and because of her generous spirit, she shares her knowledge and expertise in her 300+ member community. She also talks candidly about how she built a business in her 50s.

Here are a few key takeaways.

#128 Don't wait until January 1 to set your intentions!

I have never really liked New Year's Eve.

Aside from the fact that I don't enjoy dressing up, overspending on a meal that is never really that tasty, and don't really love big crowds.

But the real reason is because I don't believe that you need a reason to set intentions just because you are being told that it's a "new year, new you."

Every month, week, and even day are great excuses to establish goals, set boundaries, and celebrate your accomplishments. Even the small ones.

As I start to look at what 2023 could look like, I have been thinking about what are some things that I could do differently so that I can scale my business and organize my life in a way that feels authentic to me.

Here are a few things that are part of my plan:

1 concentrate on building stronger relationships with organizations and institutions that resonate with my core values
2 build a bigger community of women who truly want to use their gifts and expertise to grow their impact and...

#127 Have you ever done something radical?

Have you ever just made a decision to do something and then pulled the trigger and didn't look back?

I did that the other day. It felt soooooooo good!

It wasn't anything that I even contemplated. It was inspired by an observation in my business about a strategy that just wasn't working for me.

Building an online business and media company as a solopreneur isn't easy. It's like putting together one of those 5,000-piece jigsaw puzzles. It takes forever and a day and some days you spend hours sitting there, totally focused on completing a section of the puzzle, and other days you have the patience of a gnat.

I am sure you have experienced this; you try to shove those two pieces together even though you know in your heart they don't belong together.

Constructing your business and the life you want for yourself is no different.

So, the other day I decided to basically blow up and gut one of the strategies that took me the...

#123 How to beat to your own drum and ignore the rest!

Have you ever found yourself chasing a shiny object and then stopping yourself before you went down that rabbit hole?

It's so easy to get caught up in all that noise, especially as a creative, solopreneur, and business builder.

And it's even easier when you are surrounded by a group of like-minded humans (a.k.a. one of my masterminds) who were all plotting and planning a strategy around their black Friday offerings. But after two weeks of marinating what this could look like, I realized that I have never ever bought anything on black Friday. I was struggling with offering something that simply did not align with the how and the who I want to collaborate.

Instead of following the leader, I made a decision to stay with my integrity and scrap the whole idea.

It's not just the offer itself. The hoops I would have needed to jump through in order to unhinge that idea would have amassed about 40 hours' worth of behind-the-scenes work.

And when I...

#120 Are you on information overload?

Do you ever experience brain fog?

I was asking because just recently, I was reading an article that said that the average person is processing about 75 GB of information per day.

That means that the amount of information, entering your space and your brain is equivalent to watching more than 32 hours of television. That's 32 hours in one day. How is that possible? We only have 24 hours in a day.

When you look at it that way, it's no wonder that so many of us are struggling.

Just the other day I was working with one of my clients who is carving out a completely new path for herself. It's nothing even remotely similar to her previous career (of 20+ years, I might add). She is completely committed to this new lane, but the hoops she has to jump through in order to get this new machine running is a lot for a one-woman show to handle.

I knew she was overwhelmed - because she told me. So, in trying to help her feel less overwhelmed I realized a few things.

Being...
